"Crippled" is about halfway done; I know some of you are following it. (And thank you forever for that!) Turns out that, between craziness at work and a general feeling of "life sucks" going on, I need a little encouragement - and maybe some suggestions. OBVIOUSLY we're all here for the Danny-whump, but is there something else you'd like to see in a story? A specific thing happen? Kono being hardcore with nunchuks? Chin driving the Camaro? I love being challenged and love finding ways to engage readers - and what better way than entertaining some suggestions! Even the silly ones. Be warning: I've been known to take the silliest things and make them angsty beyond all drama, so... there's that. Maybe a few suggestions/things you'd like to see can help shake off the doldrums here.

*Pulls out the pompoms* Sorry to hear that you have a general feeling of life sucks; I suffer from the same thing right now, but my writing helps me to get over that feeling.
As for what I like to see in a story other than Danny whump: Bromance (of course); team bonding; protective team (of each other) and Grace moments with any team member.
Ideas outside of that? Meh, my brain isn't functioning on a high enough level to make any suggestions sadly. I think I may have sneezed my brain out of my nose! *achoo*

Since we're getting our cheerleading outfits on.... You can do it, Gaerwn!!
I'm with Jazzie, I like the bromance and the team bonding or just being there for each other or standing up/protecting each other. I also like Danny's snarkiness (is that a word?!) and sarcasm so any time that can get thrown in, it's a bonus.
Okay, you want something silly to work in? How about: ice cream... Go!
As for the "life sucks" feeling - I'm right there with you this week. Yesterday was an absolutely miserable day but today is getting better and I've been able to write a little which helped cheer me up a litle. Again, you can do it!! We're here for you!

Thanks, both of you! I feel like, if I'm writing something FOR someone, I'll make better progress, you know? I know, I know... As for that "life sucks" feeling: I've recently moved from Oregon to Oklahoma and my job went absolutely haywire this week, which triggered a nice few days of feeling pretty down-in-the-dumps homesick. I've no family and very few friends here - which is par for the course with settling into a new place - so I was mucking through it without much of a support network. I feel a little silly, getting down like that. I'm a grown woman, after all!

I don't think it's silly Gaerwn. I'm a grown woman and I've been in tears this morning because I didn't get a job that I had 2 interviews for! I really wanted the position even though it meant I would need to move from where I live now, it would have been a fresh start for me, which is what I feel I need right now. They gave the job to an internal candidate.
It's hard to be away from a support system. My parents live 2 hours away and right now all I want to do is get on the phone and talk to my Mum! (At nearly 40 I feel a little stupid, but I'm close with my parents and I live on my own so who else am I gonna cry down the phone to?!) Then there's the other part of me that doesn't want to upset my Mum by getting upset!
Since I lost my job in December I've been telling myself (as have other people) everything happens for a reason; it will all work out. Sadly that doesn't pay the bills and the idea of my parents having to help me financially is just ridiculous to me, even though I know they offer willingly.
This is the first really bad day I've had so I think I've done well to get this far without cracking up completely and part of that is because of the people I've met through DWOCD! We may not live on your doorstep but we'll always support you!
In fact, I'm going to open a ranting thread somewhere, 'cos there is no way that what I've just typed belongs on this one!

Hey girls, just stopped by to send virtual hugs to the both of you. I really hope that things get better!
Now regarding story ideas, I love BAMF Danny, or Danny doing stuff nobody knew he could do, like throwing knives with better aim than Steve, or flying a chopper or juggling balls, or I don't know... Something crazier or more normal, depending on where your story is going.
I'm looking forwads to seein more chappies of your story, Gaerwn!

Thanks for the hugs. It's nice to know that people out there do actually care when things go a bit sideways. BAMF Danny is the best, isn't he? Love it when he can pull off something that nobody thought he could. I have a fondness for BAMF moments. That's half the fun of whump, imho: a character being a BAMF despite impairment. More chapters soon - I've been pulling some overtime hours at work, but that'll settle down this weekend.

I'd like to see Danny be the one to figure out who shot him. Then some more Danny whump because you know we all love that.
Sorry to hear life sucks for both you and Jazzie. I hope it gets better soon. Hugs to you both.

Sending lot and lots and lots of hugs to both of you. Being homesick is not silly and neither is being disappointed about not getting a job you really wanted. You can always come to any of us with problems. We may not be able to physically do anything for you but we can be here to cheer you on. As for story ideas........of course there is whump (that's a given), and bromance. What about a "team building" outing but something goes wrong (maybe involving a wild pig)? The severeness and location is up to you lol. I'll keep trying to think of more suggestion and let ya know.

I love suggestions. Bear in mind though that, in another fandom, I'm a little infamous for taking suggestions/prompts and turning them upside-down.
And thank you, all of you, for the encouragement. It's been a trying few months, to say the least. HUGS to you.

Lol that's fine with me. Now you got me curious on what you would come up with on one (or all lol) of these suggestions.
