All, Fifilla and I spent a couple of hours on the live chat last night. We were joined just before we were logging off by cargumentluv. This was naturally because of the time differences. With this in mind Fifilla is going to get together a list of all of the different time zones members are in, so if you would be kind enough to provide her with that information if she asks. Then we will look to see if there is a good time for everyone to perhaps schedule a group chat session. I'm by no means saying that people will only be on line at that time for chatting and we can schedule more than one, but since there isn't a way to see if someone is in the chat room without logging in to it, it would seem beneficial to have some set times. Watch this space for further information!

Mimi05 and I were in chat last night around 10-ish pm or so my time - which is CST (GMT-6, I believe). One thing another board of mine does is have alternating times. One week it will be a Friday evening in the US more accessible to US people; the next it will be a Friday evening across the pond and therefore more accessible to European members. That might help - and you never know: those times that are more accessible to one or the other might work for both.

I like the idea of group chat sessions. Sounds like fun.

@all: As Jazzie already mentioned... I'm going to get together a list of all our time zones so we can find a good time for a group chat. I already have Jazzie's and cargumentluv's time zone... all the others, please tell me in in which time zone you live

I like the idea of a group chat, too. I'm in the Central (US) time zone.

There were actually four of us in Live Chat at one point yesterday, but because I'm going senile I can't actually remember what time it was! I think it was from about 20:00 GMT. We'll probably need to schedule a couple of different times to start with and see what works. Evenings (GMT) are probably best for those of us in Europe, but that might be more difficult for those of you in the States.

I apologize for not being around much, it's not that I'm not interested, just lack of time! Argh! Okay, since I finally figured out how to get ON chat, it would be really nice to have a group chat! I'm Mountain time - that's 2 hours earlier than East Coast time, 1 hour earlier than Central, and 1 hour later than Pacific. Most every night I am around - and I can usually make plans ahead of time. I hope we can get a set time figured out - would be fun!

OK, that's what I have so far: fifilla (Germany) CET (+1) Jazzie (UK) GMT (+/-0) ilmareilse (Chile) CLT (-3) ireneclaire (New York) EST (-5) mimi05 (South Carolina) EST (-5) wenwalke (Ontario) EST (-5) cargumentluv (Illinois) CST (-6) gaerwn (Oklahoma) CST (-6) rewob17 (Iowa) CST (-6) cinderh (Illinois) CST (-6) jlopie1 (Montana) MST (-7) I fear it's gonna be pretty difficult to find the perfect time slot, i.e. if it's Midnight in Germany it's only 4 p.m. for jlopie. Any suggestions?

The best suggestion I can come up with is a weekend late evening (GMT), either Friday or Saturday. The time difference means that if it's too late in the day then Fifilla and I won't be able to join in, because while I'm not working, she is!
There's nothing to stop us doing more than one session either. So we could do a session say at 20:00 or 21:00 GMT (not sure if this is too late for you Fifilla) on a Friday or Saturday night. Both Fifilla and I were in chat last night until around 22:00 GMT.
If those outside of the GMT timezone would like to make a suggestion on a time / day that would suit them, because I don't want this to become all about the European members (of which there are currently 2 on the board I believe) and what's convenient for us.

Ummmmmm I'm no good at figuring out time zone stuff.....*blushes* The only thing I can add is to just go ahead and pic a day and try one chat at a time. Like you said, we can always do multiple chats.

Cargumentluv - you are 6 hours behind GMT, so 20:00 my time would be 14:00 your time.

Jazzie - you've got my time zone right but not the location. I'm in Oklahoma.
